Selling my 2001 MBZ Mercedes E320 Wagon -- San Rafael, CA

2001 E320 Wagon, Black on Java, a real beauty, 144k miles, clear title, $8,995 OBO.  Make me an offer!

This E320 Wagon has taken us on many a trip to destinations as far away as Grand Canyon and Lake Powell.  One of the greatest wagons you can buy -- and certainly the largest in terms of interior space.  The gas mileage of 22+ mpg gives the E320 Wagon a huge advantage over an SUV.  At the same time, the E-class Wagon combines the versatility of an SUV with the elegance of a luxury sedan -- some say it looks better yet.

We have owned this rust-free California car for 60,000 mostly long-distance miles, and the original owner must have taken as good care of it as we did.  Were it not for a newer model that is gracing our driveway now, this car would not be advertised here for sale, but spend the next 100,000+ miles in our family.  This is one of the best examples you can get: running smooth and strong, non-smoker inside and out, ice-cold AC, no dead pixels, everything in perfectly working order and looking terrific.

The car comes with complete service records for the time of our ownership.  Recently performed services include:
  • Brakes on all four corners serviced
  • Transmission replaced and serviced (transferable warranty until August 2011)
  • Brand-new front tires (and a lot of miles left in the rears)
  • Engine- and transmission mounts replaced about a year ago
  • Rear left window regulator repaired and reinforced
    - The rear window regulators are a known issue of the W210 E-Class; parts and instructions for when the other side fails come with this car.  Took me a little over an hour.
  • Maintenance per service indicator when due.  The next one is not up for another 3k+ miles
  • Engine and cabin air filters replaced as necessary
The 2001 E320 Wagons came standard with a lot of amenities like 3-position memory seats for driver _and_ passenger (think position 3 all up and forward for vacuuming), power everything, HomeLink, interior lighting package, 3rd-row seats, automatic AC with charcoal filter, and a sunroof.  For a full listing of standard features, look around on eBay, Craigslist or elsewhere for one of those listings that make it seem like everything was a paid option.  Non-standard features on the offered car include:
  • A number of convenience features:
    • Heated seats (factory option)
    • Cargo net (OEM part)
    • Mud flaps front and rear (OEM parts)
    • Shopping bag hooks in the cargo compartment
    • 12 VDC outlet in the glove box (OEM part)
    • Drinking bottle holders in addition to the OEM cup holder
  • A few careful styling upgrades and chrome accents
    • S-Class wood-and-leather shift knob and chrome shifter surround
    • Chrome gauge rings
    • Chrome tailgate handle
    • Chrome door lock pins
    • Upgraded wheels (W211-style OEM rims)
    • Window tinting (25% rear sides and tailgate, 5% cargo area sides
    • White side markers (original parts come with the car, too)
    • Red rear turn signal bulbs
    • Clear fog lights

Please send an email or call me at 51oh-3three1-for ate5one for a test drive.  I am asking $8.995 OBO.  The car is located in San Rafael, CA, ready to be viewed and good to go today.  Cash or cashier’s check only.  Scam artists, lowballers and tire kickers, please let’s save each other’s time.  Thanks!
